Sampling

Sampling is the process of selecting a subset of items to test. LOQI supports both manual entry and bulk import of sample items.

Adding samples manually

  1. Open a procedure's testing sheet
  2. Click Add Row to add a new sample item
  3. Enter a description or reference for the item (e.g., invoice number, transaction ID)
  4. Repeat for each sample item

Importing samples from a spreadsheet

For larger samples:

  1. Click Import Samples
  2. Upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file
  3. Map the columns to LOQI's fields
  4. Review the imported items
  5. Click Confirm to add them to the testing sheet
Prepare your spreadsheet

Include a column with a unique identifier for each item (transaction ID, document number, etc.) and any descriptive columns that will help during testing.

Sample size

LOQI does not enforce a specific sample size — that's your professional judgment based on:

  • The population size
  • The risk level of the area
  • Your organization's sampling methodology
  • Regulatory requirements

The procedure description may include a suggested sample size from the audit program generation.
