Sampling
Sampling is the process of selecting a subset of items to test. LOQI supports both manual entry and bulk import of sample items.
Adding samples manually
- Open a procedure's testing sheet
- Click Add Row to add a new sample item
- Enter a description or reference for the item (e.g., invoice number, transaction ID)
- Repeat for each sample item
Importing samples from a spreadsheet
For larger samples:
- Click Import Samples
- Upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file
- Map the columns to LOQI's fields
- Review the imported items
- Click Confirm to add them to the testing sheet
Prepare your spreadsheet
Include a column with a unique identifier for each item (transaction ID, document number, etc.) and any descriptive columns that will help during testing.
Sample size
LOQI does not enforce a specific sample size — that's your professional judgment based on:
- The population size
- The risk level of the area
- Your organization's sampling methodology
- Regulatory requirements
The procedure description may include a suggested sample size from the audit program generation.
