Objectives & Procedures
Objectives and procedures form the backbone of your audit program. Whether AI-generated or manually created, you have full control over every element.
Objectives
An objective defines what you're assessing. Each objective is linked to a risk category from your risk analysis.
Adding an objective
- In the Planning tab, click Add Objective
- Fill in:
- Title — A clear description of what you're assessing
- Description — Additional context and scope
- Click Save
Editing an objective
Click the edit icon next to any objective to modify its title or description.
Procedures
Procedures are the specific tests you'll perform. Each procedure belongs to an objective and defines:
- Title — What you're testing
- Description — Detailed instructions for the auditor
- Risk Category — The risk area being addressed
- Status — Not Started, In Progress, Testing Complete, Pending Review, Approved
Adding a procedure
- Click Add Procedure within an objective
- Fill in the title, description, and details
- Click Save
Procedure statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not Started | Procedure created but no work begun |
| In Progress | Testing is underway |
| Testing Complete | All samples tested, workpaper ready for review |
| Pending Review | Submitted for supervisor review |
| Approved | Supervisor has signed off |
Assigning procedures
- Click on the assignee field to assign a procedure to a team member
- Use bulk assign to assign multiple procedures at once
- Only Senior Auditors and above can assign procedures
Filtering procedures
Use the filters above the procedure list to view by:
- Status — Show only procedures in a specific state
- Assignee — Show procedures assigned to a specific team member
