Audit Program Generation

Once your risk analysis is complete, LOQI can generate a full audit program — objectives, procedures, and testing attributes — tailored to your identified risks.

Generating the program

In the Planning tab:

1. Click Generate Audit Program
2. LOQI works through four steps:
   • Extracting risks — Reads your approved risk items
   • Creating objectives — Generates audit objectives linked to each risk area
   • Generating procedures — Creates test procedures for each objective
   • Defining attributes — Adds testing attributes to each procedure

A progress bar shows which step is in progress. Generation typically takes 1-3 minutes.

You can navigate away

Generation continues in the background. You can leave the page and come back — your progress is saved.

Reviewing the generated program

After generation completes, review the program:

• Objectives are grouped by risk category
• Each objective has one or more procedures
• Each procedure has testing attributes that define what to check

You can:

• Edit any objective, procedure, or attribute
• Add new items manually
• Delete items that aren't needed
• Reorder procedures within an objective

Submitting for approval

When you're satisfied with the program:

1. Click Submit for Approval
2. A supervisor or manager reviews the program
3. They can approve it or send it back with revision notes
4. Once approved, the program moves to the Execution phase

After approval

Once a program is approved, only supervisors and above can modify it. This protects the integrity of the approved audit plan.

Regenerating the program

If you need to start over:

1. Click Regenerate (requires supervisor+ permissions)
2. Confirm by typing the engagement number
3. LOQI deletes existing objectives, procedures, and attributes
4. A new program is generated from the current risk analysis

Destructive action

Regeneration deletes all existing program data. Any manual edits, assignments, or testing progress will be lost.

Aborting generation

If generation is taking too long or you need to stop it:

1. Click the Abort button in the progress bar
2. The generation stops and the job is marked as cancelled
3. You can retry or start a new generation
