Strategic Plan

The strategic plan is a multi-year view of which auditable entities will be audited and when. It ensures full coverage of your audit universe over the planning horizon.

The strategic matrix​

The strategic plan is displayed as a matrix:

  • Rows — Auditable entities from your universe
  • Columns — Years in the planning horizon (typically 3-5 years)
  • Cells — Indicate which year each entity is scheduled for audit

Entities are color-coded by risk level (High, Moderate, Low) so you can quickly see the risk distribution across years.

Building the plan​

  1. Navigate to Strategic Plan from the sidebar
  2. LOQI pre-populates based on risk scores and audit cycles:
    • High-risk entities appear every year
    • Moderate-risk entities every 2 years
    • Low-risk entities every 3 years
  3. Drag entities between years to adjust the schedule
  4. Ensure each year has a balanced workload

AI suggestions​

Click Suggest Plan to have LOQI generate a strategic plan that:

  • Respects audit cycles based on risk levels
  • Balances workload across years
  • Considers available resources
  • Accounts for time since last audit
